Being a deadly scorer in basketball. Tips on averaging at least 20 points a game?

I’m 5’8 sophomore gaurd. I can dribble and shoot and have good vision. I have work ethic and a nice floater. Any other handy moves. tips on getting to foul line? What to do in a blowout to get my team back in the game other than defense? Effective ways of scoring against 2-3 and 3-2 zones? thank you
Any possible way of scoriing that you can think of would be helpful

Head fakes seem to be working a lot recently. Get a good one and that should allow you to get to the rim more, which will also get you to the line more.

2-3 Zone’s weak area is the foul line, or just below it. Get a pass there, pop a couple in a row, the zone should be removed then.

3-2 Zone’s weak areas are the short corners. Get a couple shots in from there and the zone should be removed.

Once the zones are removed, then your head fake and drives should dismantle the rest.

Work on catch an shoots from those two spot for the zones, as well as a couple of areas to set up your head fakes. Remember: head fakes only work if your defender believes you can hit the shot. Use the beginning of the game to set you the end of the game.

    Jamal –

I am a former college basketball player and current basketball skill trainer. (http:www.theworldofhoops.com)

I was a 5’10" junior guard who was known as a defensive specialist who averaged about 7 ppg. The next year I was scoring 18 PPG. I also once had 26 points in the 2nd half of a game bringing my team back from a 24 point deficit.

Scoring is about confidence, patience, footwork, worth-ethic, skill development, AND strength and conditioning.

Check out the School of Hoops (link below) on my site "The World of Hoops" for some great drills, videos, and other information about becoming a better player, leader, and teammate.
