What is the best way to get organized to start packing and move?

I am sitting here looking at a pile of boxes and have no idea how to start this huge task.

I’m sure you feel overwhelmed but we are here to get you through it! Yahoo folks are COOL…LOL

HAVE A MASTER LIST….when finished packing go to each box and assign a number to it and the label title. When you get to your new place you can then count the boxes against your list.

Start with the kitchen first, start packing all things you only use during the holidays. Label and seal the outside and jot down a few items that are in the box so you have a general idea what is inside it.

Now go on to the rest of the things that need packing and label the outside of all the boxes. Write KITCHEN on all boxes that go in that room. Then the movers can place them for you.

Now hit the bathroom, load everything that you use once in a while and label and write BATH STOCK….set aside pack the rest BATH SET UP.

Go to each room and do the same dividing things into STORE, USE RIGHT AWAY, BASEMENT, ETC. and the room they go in. This way you will know immediately where things go and what box to open when you move into your new home.

ORDER A PIZZA …invite your friend for a packing party!

Oh …before you start make sure you have scissors , and good tape. Plus a nice marking pen that has wide tip.
